Information message about the tangible earthquake in the Ural Mountains region, October 18, 2015 |
| The tangible earthquake M=4.1 has occurred on Oct. 18, 2015 at 21:44 GMT (October 19 at 00:44 Moscow time) in the Ural Mountains region. |
| Preliminary processing has been done with data from 22 stations, accurate processing - with data 23 stations. |
| Fig. 1 presents fragments of two-component digital records obtained from stations Arti (∆ 0.7º) and Sverdlovsk (∆ 1º). Fig. 2 presents fragments of records obtained from digital stations Kirov (∆ 5.2º), Borovoe (∆ 7.7º), Belogornoe (∆ 8º). |

| Fig. 3 presents with red star the epicenter of this earthquake, its origin was located in the Ural Mountains region, at a depth of 5 km, 71 km W-N-W of Pervouralsk, 77 km N-W of the Mikhailovsk, 114 km W-N-W of Ekaterinburg and 118 km E-S-E of Kungur. |

| Macroseismic manifestations |
| According to GS RAS this earthquake was felt in Yekaterinburg, Kungur, Novouralsk, Pervouralsk with intensity about 3 MSK, in Perm with intensity about 2-3 MSK and in Chelyabinsk with intensity about 2 MSK. Information on individual responses is collected in the new section of the site "Have You felt the earthquake? Inform us about that" (DyfitWeb).
According to ITAR-TASS residents of Ekaterinburg, Pervouralsk, Novouralsk reported about vibrations in homes to the hot line of Sverdlovsk regional EMERCOM office. According to the regional emergency department, none of the residents of the Sverdlovsk region has suffered. Residents of the Perm region as well that night felt the shocks.
Undeground shocks did not affect the combat readiness of formations, military units and military facilities of the Central Military District located in the Sverdlovsk Region. |

| Previous earthquake of similar magnitude (Kachkanar) has been registered on March 29, 2010 mb=4.3, it was located 200 km N of currently reported earthquake. Parameters of Kachkanar earthquake (ML=4.4) and its afteshock (ML=2) also were calculated by Dr. Diagelev R.A. and Dr. Golubeva I.V.
