Information message about sensitive earthquake in Ukraine on February 3, 2015

     The sensitive earthquake M=4.5 has occurred on February 3, 2015 at 05:56 GMT (08:56 Moscow time) in Ukraine.
     Parameters of the earthquake have been determined in the Alert Service (AS) of Information Processing Center (IPC) of Geophysical Survey of RAS in Obninsk with station data obtained from digital and analog seismic stations of Russia, countries of CIS and from abroad. Alert message on this earthquake has been delivered in 25 min after registration to the Ministry of Emergency of the Russian Federation (EMERCOM).
     Preliminary processing has been done with data from 21 stations, accurate processing - with data 24 stations.
     Fig. 1 presents fragments of records obtained from digital stations Malin Array Point (∆ 3.2º), Obninsk (∆ 4.8º), Belogornoe (∆ 8.6º), Kislovodsk (∆ 8.7º). Fig. 2 presents fragments of records obtained from digital stations Khabaz (∆ 9º), Vasula (∆ 9.1º), Valaam (∆ 11º), Kirov (∆ 11.91º).

         Fig. 3 presents with red star epicenter of this earthquake, its origin was located on the territory of Ukraine, at the Poltava-Sumy border regions, at the depth of 10 km, 22 km N-E of Hadiach town - administrative center of Hadiach District of Poltava Region, Ukraine, and 23 km W-S-W of Lebedyn town, Sumy Region, Ukraine, 170 km W-S-W of Belgorod, Russia, and 196 km S-W of Kursk, Russia.

    Macroseismic manifestations
         According to ITAR-TASS with reference to publication "Poltavshina" this earthquake has influenced Hadiach town (Poltava Region) and the nearby settlements. Personnel of Poltava gravimetric observatory investigates details of this event. In accordance with "Platinova Bukovina" portal consequances of this event were even more siginificant in Pleshivets village. Local residents had feeling that the houses move from side to side. International company "Shell" has conducted the first hydrofracturing blast and obtained the first cubic meters of shale gas on April 1, 2014. This was done 170 km E-S-E of epicenter of reported here earthquake near Veseloe settlement located on the territory of Pervomaysky District of Kharkov Region. This information was obtained from "Ukraine Choice" Portal.
