Information about sensitive earthquake in Stavropol Region on July 9, 2010 |
| The sensitive earthquake has occurred in Stavropol Region on July 9, 20109 at 18:39 GMT (22:39 Moscow time) with М=3.2. |
| Preliminary processing has been done with data from 11 stations, accurate processing - with data 21 stations. |
| Fig. 1 presents fragments of records obtained from digital stations Gofitzkoe (∆ 0.9º), Kislovodsk (∆ 1.1º) by three components. Fig. 2 presents fragments of records obtained from digital stations Neitrino (∆ 1.8º), Nalchik (∆ 1.9º), Sochi (∆ 2º), Lesken (∆ 2.2º), Digorie (∆ 2.4º), Anapa (∆ 3.1º). |

| Fig. 3 depicts with red star epicenter of this earthquake, which origin was located on the territory of Stavropol Region at the depth of 5 km, in 25 km S-W from Stavropol, 30 km N-W from Nevinnomisk, 85 km E-N-E from Labinsk. |

| Macroseismic manifestations |
| In accordance with EMERCOM office in Rostov on Don this earthquake was felt in Stavropol and Nevinnomisk towns with intensities of 2-3 MSK. |
| Historical records |
| This earthquake has occurred on July 9 in the S-W part of Stavropol hill area in accordance with scheme of regional and neo tectonics zoning of South part of European Russia and adjacent territories [Dr. Makarov, 2006]. Rather strong and sensitive earthquakes were noticed in this area before (рис. 4). The most significant of them has occurred on October 2, 1971 with М=4.5, it had near the surface origin with intensity in epicenter of 8 MSK. |
