| Sensitive earthquake with М=5.6 has occured on June 11, 2009 at 01:35 GMT (June 11, 05:35 Moscow time) at the eastern coast of Kamchatka peninsula. |
| Parameters of the earthquake
have been determined in the Alert Service (AS) of Information
Processing Center (IPC) of Geophysical Survey of RAS in Obninsk with station data
obtained from digital and analog seismic stations of Russia, countries of CIS
and from abroad. Alert message on this earthquake has been delivered in 40 min after
registration to the Ministry of Emergency of the Russian Federation (EMERCOM). |
| Preliminary processing has been done with data from 48 stations, accurate processing - with data 67 stations. |
| Fig. 1 presents fragments of three component record obtained from digital station Petropavlovsk (∆ 0.4º). Fig. 2 presents fragments of records obtained from digital stations Bilibino (∆ 15.4º), Yakutsk (∆ 18º), Hailar (∆ 24.8º), Talaya (∆ 33.2º), Kurchatov (∆ 47.3º). |

| Fig.3 shows with yellow star epicenter of the earthquake, which was located in the South-Eastern part of Kamchatka peninsula at the depth of 100 km, 40 km E from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, 340 km N-E from Severo-Kurilsk and 410 km S-W from Ust-Kamchatsk. |
