| 3 sensitive earthquakes have happened within the period since October 21 till October 26, 2006 in Chechen Republic: October 21 at 11:01 GMT (15:01 Moscow time) with М=3.9, October 26 at 13:33 GMT (17:33 Moscow time) with М=3.3, October 26 at 17:41 GMT (21:41 Moscow time) with М=3.5. These earthquakes have been felt in capital Groznyy with intensity 4 MSK, 2-3 MSK and 3 MSK respectively. |
| Parameters of these earthquakes have been determined by the Alert Service (AS) of Information Processing Center (IPC) of Geophysical Survey of RAS in Obninsk with station data obtained from digital seismic stations of Russia and CIS. Alert message about the first earthquake has been sent in 33 minutes after it’s occurrence to the MRCOM of Chechen Republic. |
| Summarized processing of the first earthquake has been done with data from 13 stations, of the second earthquake – with data from 3 stations, of the third earthquake – with data from 5 stations. |
| Fig. 1 presents fragments of records obtained from digital stations Kuba-Taba (∆ 1.8º), Piatigorsk (∆ 2.1º), Shatzhatmas (∆ 2.3º), Kislovodsk (∆ 2.3º) for the earthquake on October 21 at 11:01, table 1 contains parameters of this earthquake obtained from data of AS GS RAS and IDC- CTBTO. Parameters of the earthquake which happened on October 26 are presented in section aftershocks of this table. Locations of epicenters of all these earthquakes are shown on fig.2. |
