Information message about the sensitive earthquake in Eastern Kazakhstan on January 28, 2013 |
The sensitive earthquake with M=6.1 has occurred on January 28, 2013 at 16:38 GMT (20:38 Moscow time) in Eastern Kazakhstan. |
Parameters of the earthquake
have been determined in the Alert Service (AS) of Information
Processing Center (IPC) of Geophysical Survey of RAS in Obninsk with station data
obtained from digital and analog seismic stations of Russia, countries of CIS
and from abroad. Alert message on this earthquake has been delivered in 13 min after
registration to the Ministry of Emergency of the Russian Federation (EMERCOM). |
Preliminary processing has been done with data from 51 stations, accurate processing - with data 58 stations. |
Fig. 1 presents fragments of records obtained from digital stations Ala-Archa (∆ 3.9º), Kurchatov (∆ 8.1º), Dzhazator (∆ 8.8º), Borovoe (∆ 12.2º), Kungurtug (∆ 14.5º). Fig. 2 presents fragments of records obtained from digital stations Arti (∆ 19.3º), Ulaanbaatar (∆ 19.9º), Makhachkala (∆ 23.6º), Kislovodsk (∆ 26.9º), Storozhevoe (∆ 28.7º). |

Fig. 3 presents with red star epicenter of this earthquake which origin was located in Almaty Province at the depth of 10 km, 240 km E-S-E of Almaty. |

In accordance with IC NAN KR this earthquake was felt in Zhergalan with intensities 6-7, Karakol with intensity 6, Tokmok with intensities 4-5, Bishkek with intensity 4. In accordance with KNDC this earthquake was felt in Almaty with intensities 4-5. |
