The sensitive earthquake with M=4.1 has occurred in Stavropol Region on May 2, 2012 at 00:44 GMT (04:44 Moscow time). |
Parameters of the earthquake
have been determined in the Alert Service (AS) of Information
Processing Center (IPC) of Geophysical Survey of RAS in Obninsk with station data
obtained from digital and analog seismic stations of Russia, countries of CIS
and from abroad. Alert message on this earthquake has been delivered in 45 min after
registration to the Ministry of Emergency of the Russian Federation (EMERCOM). |
Preliminary processing has been done with data from 25 stations, accurate processing - with data 31 stations. |
Fig. 1 presents fragments of records obtained from digital stations Gofitskoe (∆ 1º), Kislovodsk (∆ 1.1º), Shidzhatmaz (∆ 1.3º), Krasnaya Polyana (∆ 1.5º), Neitrino (∆ 1.7º). Fig. 2 presents fragments of records obtained from digital stations Sochi (∆ 1.8º), Nalchik (∆ 1.9º), Lesken (∆ 2.2º), Digorie (∆ 2.3º), Zei (∆ 2.6º). |

Fig. 3 presents with red star epicenter of this earthquake, it’s origin was located on the territory of Stavropol Region at the depth of 10 km, 26 km W-N-W of Nevinnomyssk, 41 km S-W of Stavropol, 67 km N-N-W of Cherkessk and 75 km E-N-E of Labinsk. |

In accordance with GS RAS this earthquake was felt in Nevinnomyssk with intensity 3-4 MSK, in Stavropol and Cherkessk with intensity 3 MSK. |

On July 9, 2010 the sensitive earthquake with M=3.2 has occurred 17 km N-W of the reported here earthquake. |
