Information message about sensitive earthquake in Georgia on January 19, 2011 |
The sensitive earthquake with M=5.3 has occurred in Georgia on January 19, 2011 at 9:17 GMT (12:17 Moscow time). |
Parameters of the earthquake
have been determined in the Alert Service (AS) of Information
Processing Center (IPC) of Geophysical Survey of RAS in Obninsk with station data
obtained from digital and analog seismic stations of Russia, countries of CIS
and from abroad. Alert message on this earthquake has been delivered in 12 min after
registration to the Ministry of Emergency of the Russian Federation (EMERCOM). |
Preliminary processing has been done with data from 11 stations, accurate processing - with data 57 stations. |
Fig. 1 presents fragments of records obtained from digital stations Neitrino (∆ 1.2º), Nalchik (∆ 1.6º), Kislovodsk (∆ 2º), Garni (∆ 2.5º). Fig. 2 presents fragments of records obtained from digital stations Kiev (∆ 12.7º), Obninsk (∆ 13.7º), Arti (∆ 17.7º), Vasula (∆ 19.3º).

Fig. 3 presents with red star epicenter of this earthquake, it's origin was located on territory of Georgia, at the depth of 10 km, 30 km S-S-W from Kutaisi, 63 km W-N-W from Borjomi, 175 km S-E from Sokhumi. |
